Black Couture is a health lifestyle blog continuing uplifting conversations, empowering and inspiring women across the globe. Truth Bomb alert: I never liked it when people said “Hawu, why don’t you know this already,” as if human babies come programmed like the cows walking across my lawn.
From sitting in a cafe and over hearing a lady say “You know don’t ask me dump questions, you should know this,” pushed me to start this blog. So let me be the first to say it’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out.
What’s more important for the group of Female Titans I hope you will become with me is be brave enough to understand your emotional beliefs. Think men are just trash? Think again rising tian, they are just like you and me strugglinh or excelling at this beauty we call life!

Let’s journal through your body image because I’ve found the mind is powerful place where trauma can trick you into believing you’re not enough even for that transformation. Growth is what I’m all about here on Black Couture, so I’ll be talking about growing your inner garden that is developing a true sense of self-worth outside of titles and followers. I believe feeling self empowered is the foundation of everything in our lives, and as a rising Female Titan, learning the art of loving HER is crucial.
I also believe all personal growth is expressed through personal beauty and personal discovery. This is your weekly inspiration to uncover you; all the noise, all the people, and daily activities, by silencing it to go on a soul travel.

God’s Break-Through Fitness
Above all else I know what it means to be labelled strong and as a result also labelled an an outcast. As a young child I faced rejection, loneliness, yet I was always assigned the more lonely child to build his or her confidence. I made a promise to myself I would never allow anyone be bullied, put down in my presence.
And I feel God always knew even as I was hurting, I would always uplift someone, protect and speak up for those hurting. And I did; However, without addressing my own mental health issues I found myself quickly depleted and failing in areas of life that should have been easy.

We are designed to help one another, heal from past circumstances, release that past and build upon a different us every day. Not wait a year, 3 years like so many women do after a heart break. No!
God wants you to have a resilience mind that recognizes limiting beliefs holding you back, do a self-check in with Him and throw that whole limitation in the trash! Okay He might not say that ways, but you are meant to bounces back into living a peaceful and fulfilling lives.
Even the Bible says do not sleep with anger in your hearts. And after going through such a powerful transition in the past year, I believe more of us deserve a formidable mental state.

So I invite you on a soul travel through fitness, beauty & wellness because in our daily spaces we can take on this physical introspection by diving deep into our thoughts, our emotions and asking God to guide our steps. This is Black Couture. Our bodies are empowered through movement, empowered through nutrition and positive words. And for that reason Black Couture begins in a small, but overwhelmingly beautiful Mountainous Kingdom of eSwatini.
I’ll be discussing it all from self love, personal growth and learning from failure, which I love to call growth opportunities. I’ll also be taking you across country; grocery shopping and giving you my opinion on the best foods to eat to live a sustainable and flourishing life.
